⏳ How many days should you plan?

7 to 10 days

The essentials: Focus on 2 islands (e.g. Mahé + Praslin or Praslin + La Digue). Ideal for a first taste without too many transfers.

12 to 15 days

The perfect balance: The “Golden Triangle” (Mahé, Praslin, La Digue). You’ll have time to hike, dive and chill without stress.

21 days

Total immersion: Add outer islands (Curieuse, Silhouette) or private excursions. A more exclusive stay and full disconnect.

🗓️ 10, 14 or 21 days: what’s the perfect timing?

There’s no “wrong” length—just a different way to organize each time window.

The Essentials (10 days)

Pace: Intense but complete. Great for a first discovery without too much transport fatigue.

  • Split: 3 days Praslin / 3 days La Digue / 4 days Mahé.
  • Focus: Iconic spots (Anse Lazio, Source d'Argent, Vallée de Mai).
  • Tip: Take the domestic flight between Mahé and Praslin to save time.
Best for: First trip

The Balance (14 days)

Pace: The travelers’ favorite. You’ll soak in each island without having to choose between beach and hikes.

  • Split: 5 days Praslin / 4 days La Digue / 5 days Mahé.
  • Focus: Deeper exploration, trips to nearby islands (Curieuse, Félicité).
  • Tip: The perfect length to try the “Stay Mix” (guesthouse, then a resort).
Recommended

The Immersion (21 days)

Pace: Slow travel. You become a regular in your neighborhood—you’ll know your fishmonger by name.

  • Split: 6 days Praslin / 5 days La Digue / 6 days Mahé / 4 days Silhouette or a private island.
  • Focus: Secret hikes, full reading days, total local life.
  • Tip: Perfect to include a remote island like Silhouette or Denis Island.
The ultimate dream

🛥️ Logistics: don’t underestimate transfers

Each island change (check-out + ferry + transfer + check-in) takes on average 4 to 5 hours out of your day. That’s why we don’t recommend staying fewer than 3 nights on the same island—otherwise you’ll spend the trip living out of your suitcase.

Same base as the 10-day plan, with these strategic add-ons:

  • On La Digue (+1 day): Guided expedition to Anse Marron (the hidden gem).
  • On Mahé (+2 days): Explore Morne Seychellois National Park (Anse Major hike) and lazy time at Port Launay.

“This is the itinerary where you really enjoy the Stay Mix: start simple on La Digue and finish in a 5* resort on Mahé.”

21 D The Immersion: The Full Archipelago

For those who want to go behind the scenes and see the remote islands.

The premium plan:
